Tom Selleck was the first choice for Indiana Jones. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas selected him. However, a contract for his TV show ‘Magnum P.I.’ prevented him from taking the part. Harrison Ford then stepped in. This decision led to a legendary film franchise. The series began in 1981 and continues to this day.
